All sorts of arcs and trajectories and gravitational pulls that are simply beyond human capability to calculate. Now imagine all the computer calculations required to send a spaceship to a Mars landing. I would move the cursor in various rapid arcs and curves until I got the exact size and shape of my preferred viewing preference. Think about all the remapping pixel to pixel calculations that need be made when an exquisitely detailed HD video is being manipulated during video playback.ĪND WHAT I WAS ALSO doing was deciding 'on the fly' exactly how and what shape and configuration my new monitor would be in my new workspace. My new best practice is ONLY adjust the program monitor size or reference or trim monitor size when the video is STOPPED or PAUSED. I realized my whole machine would occasionally crash during video playback if I was SIMULTANEOUSLY adjusting the preview size on my program monitor. In the past, until my FINAL insight yesterday, it would crash on occasion during video playback too. I have a Mac Pro as well and am editing 1920 x 1080 HD video. I'd LOVE to get a problem solved 10 points on this one! I think I have a helpful insight here and some competent analysis.
